Meet the Directors
Ryan Siebert
Director of Bands
Ryan Siebert originally went to high school at Washington High School in Washington, Oklahoma. He went on to graduate from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2017. Mr. Siebert began his teaching career at Okarche Public Schools, where he was tasked with starting the band and music programs.
In 2020, Mr. Siebert was hired as the Assistant Director of Bands at Newcastle Public Schools. He was later promoted to the Director of Bands at the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year.
Mr. Siebert came back home to Washington at the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year as the Head Director of Bands at Washington Public Schools.
Cody Sirk
Assistant Director of Bands
Cody Sirk is a driven and multifaceted music educator and accomplished saxophonist, whose passion for jazz and music education shines across academic and community stages. He holds both a Bachelor of Music in Saxophone and a Master's Degree in Music Education from the University of Oklahoma, underscoring his deep foundation in both performance and teaching. In his current roles at Washington Public Schools, Cody serves as the Assistant Director of Bands, Director of the Warrior Jazz Ensemble, and conducts the Washington Middle School Bands. Beyond the school setting, he directs the Norman Big Band while also being a clinician and presenter across Oklahoma- bringing vibrant jazz experiences to conferences and schools statewide. Cody also contributes to higher education as a faculty member of the OU Summer Jazz Collective and as an adjunct professor at Southern Nazerine University.
