Our Staff

Jordan Ford



Mr. Ford hails from Owasso, Oklahoma.  He received his Bachelor's of Music Education from the University of Oklahoma in the Fall of 2013.  He taught band at OKC Public Schools before moving to teach band at Washington Public School in 2015.  In June 2018, he was appointed Director of Bands at Washington.  Professional memberships include OkMEA, NAfME, and OBA.  Mr. Ford has served as chairperson for Shortgrass Honor Bands and participated in the Conn-Selmer VIP Program.

Mr. Ford conducts the High School Concert Band, the Middle School Advanced Band, and co-teaches beginning band classes.  He also oversees the Washington Warrior Marching Band and basketball pep band.

Mr. Ford has two children, Eva and Evan who spend way too much time in the bandroom.  


Aaron Courtney

Assistant Director

Aaron is the Assistant Director of bands at Washington Public Schools. He is originally from Edmond, Oklahoma.  He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in Instrumental Music Education.  Professional memberships include OkMEA and NAfME.  He is also a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity.

His teaching duties at Washington include Jazz Band, Brass Ensemble, assisting with High School Marching Band and Concert Band, and co-teaching Beginning Band and Middle School Band.

His hobbies outside of music include golf and video games.

Josh Shade

Percussion Coordinator

Josh is a graduate of Mustang High School and is currently a student at the University of Oklahoma.

Alexus Longley

Colorguard Technician

Alexus is a graduate of Purcell High School and is currently a student at the University of Oklahoma.
